Software Architecture.The RTD Realtime Trading Desktop is based on an exchange-independent client-server architecture. The RTD Communication Server forms the core of the system and acts as the interface to the RTD, RTD Tango and eRTD front-ends as well as to the API (Application Programing Interface). The RTD-API or RTD FIX-API can be connected to third party applications and be used for order routing purpose. The RTD Communication Server allows the integration of different exchanges on a single trading platform with a single front-end for trading on all markets. Due to its flexibility and object-oriented software design the RTD architecture has proved itself as a high performance and reliable platform for the extensive  RTS product portfolio in electronic trading for the future.
The client-server architecture allows extremely fast integration of new markets — a considerable advantage in view of the dynamic developing exchange scenario. The continual enhancement of the RTD system has only been possible by the RTS support and development staff working closely with its customer base. |
