Sales Manager

Role Summary

Perform sales and business development activities in assigned accounts or region to ensure a strong pipeline of sales of RTS solutions. Manage accounts for quality and consistency of service delivery. Develop and expand RTS relationships with elite financial institutions to further the company’s reputation as the recognized industry leader providing innovative technology solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and develop client relationships in an assigned market or geographic region in order to grow the RTS customer base; develop relationships with prospects and clients from introduction to close; ensure a strong pipeline of sales of RTS solutions
  • Prepare action plans and timelines to identify specific targets and project the number of contacts to be made; prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals
  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, networking events and telemarketing events to identify new business opportunities and maintain RTS’ reputation as the recognized industry leader providing innovative technology solutions to elite financial institutions; follow up on leads and referrals resulting from field activity
  • Develop and maintain current knowledge of RTS product suite and functionality
  • Prepare sales presentations and product demonstrations, proposals and sales contracts to activate and maintain contract services
  • Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales and deliver services and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Identify and resolve client concerns; manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, new functionality enhancements, special developments, market information, and feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff
  • Assist with on-the-job training to new sales team members
  • Follow-up for collection of payment, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Business with a focus on Finance, Marketing or Information Technology
  • Minimum 3 years experience selling high-value technology transactional products in the financial community
  • Experience in global financial markets, with knowledge of electronic trading of financial instruments (stocks, options and futures); algorithmic trading experience preferred
  • Solid understanding of information technology; direct experience with electronic trading applications a plus
  • Good understanding of advertising and sales promotion techniques
  • Excellent relationship-builder; strong customer orientation
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills; able to persuade and influence others
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Highly motivated and persistent; enthusiastic about finding new leads and prospects; able to manage own pipeline and schedule of activities
  • High learning agility; able to respond quickly to changing customer needs and rapidly changing technology
  • Self-motivated; able to work independently as well as in a team
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal; able to develop and deliver client presentations and other written materials
  • Able to work a flexible schedule and travel at short notice; extensive local travel to current and potential clients; 40-50% overnight travel
  • Proficient in English; other languages valuable
